An Ode to Congo and Her Country Starting in Brazzaville over looking Kinshasa We set off on an adventure with some friends We chased a storm on a bus And got dizzy watching trees pass by Smeared foliage Beautiful roads Wondrous colours in the plateaux area 4 hours later We saw ‘The Priests Hat’ And after a few toliet stops We reached Oyo Had a tour around the town Greeted some locals Went to school Watched kids egger to learn Some more than others Then we took to the hills Congo’s beautiful Lefini Park Rolling hills Shy and mysterious wildlife a few lone trees Ally’s reading spot Ruben trying to capture lightning A few Luxuaries An intense Elephant treck We waited and watched With sadly no sightings Neither did the ceiling of stars or the evening chats and food Share this:TwitterFacebookLike Loading...
